The Story
In the Colonial Theatre, Boston in 1959, a new Western Style musical “Robbin Hood” is being performed.  Leading Lady, faded film star Jessica Cranshaw is proving that she can neither sing, dance or act as shown in the show-within-a-show’s opening number.  After her curtain call Jessica mysteriously collapses and dies.  Lieutenant Frank Cioffi turns up to investigated and the whole company are under suspicion including divorced song writing team Georgina Hendricks and Aaron Fox, Producer Carmen Bernstein and her husband Sidney, Director Christopher Belling, Stage Manager Johnny Harmon, choreographer and  leading man Bobby Pepper, actress Niki Harris and dancer Bambi Bernét.  He immediately seals the theatre, believing that the suspect is still in the building.
The cast use the time stuck in the theatre to try and fix the show’s problems.  Jessica’s understudy Niki is passed over with the lead role going instead to Georgina.  Many of the show’s numbers are rewritten.

More murders take place and secrets, rumours and accusations are thrown around as rehearsals continue.  Cioffi, who is also a theatre fan and amateur actor, becomes involved in saving the show as well as managing to solve the case by getting the cast to re-stage the bows where Jessica was killed
